U Weight Loss™ Testimonials

From my 30s on, I always struggled with my weight going up and down and haven't felt good about myself for a very long time. Many times, I did manage to lose some weight, but I could never keep it off. I knew I had to do something about my weight problems and that's when I noticed a U Weight Loss advertisement posted in our lunch room at work. I read the ad and it really appealed to me, so I filled out a card, put it in the promo box and forgot about it. A week or so later, I got a phone call from a U Weight Loss representative who was offering me a free Detox and Cleanse Kit just for going in for a consultation. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so I booked an appointment and met with a U Weight Loss coach who explained in depth how the program worked.

The coach outlined the program for me that gave me details about how much weight I would have to lose to reach my target weight of 230 lbs, how long it would take and how much it would cost. Initially, I was concerned about the cost, however the coach asked me a question that made me think about how important it was for me to do something about my weight before it was too late.

She asked me, "If I was to continue on the way I was going, how did I think I would be in 5 years?" I thought about it for a few moments and then I replied that if I was to continue on the way I was going, I could be dead in 5 years. Needless, to say I signed up that day and started the journey to looking and feeling better.

When I started the program, I weighed 322 lbs. I immediately stopped drinking the six cans or more of Pepsi a day, eating potato chips and other snack foods and the visits to Tim Hortons shop, drinking coffee at break time twice a day four days a week. I also stopped having big breakfasts that at times consisted of 3 eggs, 6 strips of bacon, 6 slices of toast and coffee and going for second or third helpings at every lunch and dinner meal.

I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol and needed all the help I could get. U Weight Loss had the answers with their vitamin and supplement requirements for each phase of their program, the Kick Start phase, the Metabolic Booster phase and the Accelerator/Reduce phase. The vitamins are a very important part of this program and among other things, they assisted me with my cravings, helped me with my appetite, boosted my metabolism, improved weight loss around the abdomen and increased my energy levels.

U Weight Loss also provided me with menus for different meals and snacks that were all balanced to the proper ratio of carbohydrate, protein and fat for each phase of the program. And, on top of that, U Weight Loss gave me the opportunity to make my own meals by providing the use of their Food Tracker on the U Weight Loss website. This is a very valuable tool and I really enjoyed tracking my own meals, making them more appealing and still being able to purchase the foods that I enjoyed eating while still losing weight. I also became more aware of what was in the food I was eating by reading labels and learning about the salt and fat content and about the amount of carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins contained in the food I was buying. My wife Darlene and I now have so much fun going to the grocery store, picking out the fresh fruit, chicken, beef, ham, salmon, shrimp, almonds and so much more in order to make the meals and snacks that are not only satisfying, but very enjoyable.

By the middle of my fourth week into the program, I was down to 296 lbs. At that point, the weight loss wasn't really showing, but I have to tell you, I was already so thrilled with the results. A few months before starting the program, I was experiencing pain in my lower abdomen, but I never gave it much thought. The pain didn't go away and then when I started the program, the pain got worse and after going through a series of tests, I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My wife Darlene had been diagnosed with breast cancer three years earlier so you could just imagine what we were about to go through again. It's hard to put into words what I was feeling at that time, but I never kept hoping for the best and wondering how everything would turn out.

My doctors were very pleased that I was losing weight and encouraged me to continue. I stayed on the U Weight Loss program and during the weeks before my surgery, I continued to steadily lose weight. Then, after my surgery, I resumed my U Weight Loss program and continued on the road to my ideal weight. By the end of that year, I weighed 251 lbs.

After a rough patch, I started a brand new year looking good, feeling great and cancer free. By the end of February, I was just 8 lbs from my target weight of 230 lbs and finally hit it on March 19th! I still can't believe that I have lost all that weight and feel so great! This is the one time in my life that I am very happy I made the right decision to do something about my weight, not just for myself, but so that I could be here with my wife and family. My son Chad gave me pointers on some exercises that would help me firm up my mid section. Cheri, my daughter, who is a lot like me in having to fight the battle of the bulge, was so inspired by my success. Saving the best for last, Darlene, my wife and best friend for 45 years, has always been there for me, giving me her undying support. She lost 20 lbs just by eating the same meals that I did and wow, I have fallen in love with her all over again!

I have to thank all the girls at the U Weight Loss Clinic in London for all of their support and encouragement every time I went in. In helping me with my meals and for addressing any concerns or questions that I had. They made the whole experience at U Weight Loss enjoyable and so much fun. I have more energy, my knees do not ache any more and there is no need for me to take medication any longer for high blood pressure or high cholesterol.
